Poesía italiana en los libros de música para vihuela del siglo XVI
Résumé
The vihuela books print in Spain in the XVIth Century are a source for the study of musical repertory for this instrument. A large variety of genres are represented in the vihuela repertory: instrumental music like fantasias, arrangements of polyphonic music, sacred and profane, romances and villancicos, Latin poetry and sonnets from Petrarca and Sannazaro for voice and vihuela. This paper focuses on the relationship between text and music of the sonnet O Gelosia from Jacopo Sannazaro present in two vihuela books: El Maestro de Luis Milan (1535-1536) y Tres libros de música en cifras para vihuela de Alonso Mudarra (1546)
