FOR A SYSTEMIC MODEL OF FACTORS LEADING TO INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE?

Résumé

What are the factors leading to individual performance? Can these factors be modeled in order to help get a better understanding of the process of individual performance achievement? The concepts of performance and of potential are at the center of people management in order to reach organizational objectives. In order to achieve economic performance, organizations demand increasing performance levels from their associates. However does this requirement go along with an understanding of the factors leading to individual performance? The concept of individual performance potential is complex because it includes the notion of contingency in its realization. This realization of an individual performance potential is a dynamic process involving various factors. This communication aims at presenting the theoretical framework, the methodology and the first results revealing a possible model explaining the process of individual performance achievement.
